About Rodney Hollins, HSC Founder and Principal
Rodney Hollins established Hollins Security Consulting, LLC (HSC) in 2015 and serves as its principal. Mr. Hollins has more than 30 years of law enforcement and military experience, and holds a degree in criminal justice. He served 23 years in the United States Air Force Reserves, and was activated from his Air Force Reserve Unit to fight the War on Terrorism in the Middle East. Mr. Hollins joined the United States Capitol Police in 1983, working as an officer for eight years before joining the District of Columbia’s Metropolitan Police Department, where he worked for 25 years. During his tenure as a detective in the Metropolitan Police Criminal Investigation Division, Mr. Hollins investigated crimes against persons and property, including assaults, burglaries, thefts and carjacking crimes. For Mr. Hollins, his duty as a detective was not simply about closing cases and making arrests; preventing crimes from occurring was equally important. He counseled, provided information, and connected citizens to community resources to help victims recover from crime, and to help at-risk youth steer clear of becoming criminals. Through HSC, Mr. Hollins is dedicated to providing his unique combination of professional, skilled and caring security consultation.
